Who we are

Mr Site was set up in 2004 and has swiftly become the UK’s favourite provider of innovative website-building packages, web hosting and e-commerce software. We create online tools that are not only technically excellent – they’re incredibly easy to use. Don’t just take our word for it though – we’re pretty proud of all the awards we’re collecting on our mantelpiece (our mums are too).

The company was started by two young entrepreneurs, Beatrice Hatherley and Stuart Spice. Beatrice, a musician, wanted to build a website – but hiring a professional designer was expensive and with no web-design knowledge, doing it herself was almost impossible. She asked Stuart, a professional web designer, for advice. Together, they vowed to create a product that would help anyone get their site online, easily, quickly and affordably.

Since then, Mr Site has helped thousands of people all over the world build and manage their own websites. From youth clubs in Yorkshire to beauticians in Bangladesh to shoe shops in London, all kinds of organisations have been able to make their mark online with us.

We love the fact that our customers are amazingly passionate about their sites – after all, we are too! We know how much someone’s website matters to them, whatever they use it for, and so we aim to support our customers every step of the way. For us, providing the best customer service is absolutely central to what we do and we’re always looking for new ways to help our customers succeed.
