Technology company Apple has launched a new version of its popular iPhone at an event in San Francisco - that aimed to showcase the capabilities of the new device.
As well as a re-designed case, the phone boasts a five megapixel camera with flash, a screen that's four times as sharp as the old one, and a gyroscope that can be used for gaming.
The company called it "the most precise, beautiful thing we have ever designed" - however, the demonstration suffered from technical glitches as the phone failed to correctly connect to the internet.
Many features of the new iPhone were already public knowledge, after a technology blog leaked details of the handset, after receiving a lost version of the device earlier this year.
