More shoppers than ever are choosing to buy their Christmas gifts over the internet than in shops.
That's according to PayPal who say that up to 41 per cent more people living in big cities around the UK now prefer to get their shopping done from the comfort of their own homes rather than a trip into town compared to last year.
Glasgow has seen the biggest increase in the numbers who are buying over the net, with nearly 6 in 10 of the city's population saying they prefer the online method of shopping.
PayPal are also urging customers to remember to ensure they keep their credit card details secure in order to avoid the threat of fraud.
