Consumer tech giants Apple have reported demand from customers for their new product, the iPhone 4, has been so vast that many websites vending the hardware, have crashed this week.
The incidents happened both in the UK and across the Atlantic in the US, where enough internet sites held strong to see more than 600,000 units sold, in just one day.
And in Germany, Deutsche Telekom say the amount of requests for the new smartphone is sitting at around ten fold that of Apple's last iPhone, the 3GS.
When that model was unveiled last year, it took 3 days to sell one million units.
The new figures are all the more remarkable given that the iPhone4 was only unveiled by Apple chief, Steve Jobs, at the beginning of June.
